Abstract

Objective — to study the spectrum and frequency of detection of various urogenital infections in patients with inflam-matory diseases of the genitourinary tract; to determine the characteristics of clinical course, clinical and microbiological effect, safety and tolerability of Orcipol drug (tablets produced by Baili-Creat Laboratory — Verny, France; World Medicine company); to assess Breveluck probiotic (capsules produced by ADIFARM Ltd., Bulgaria; World Medicine company) in the restoration of normal biocenosis of the body after antibiotic therapy.Materials and methods. Outpatient treatment was conducted of 79 patients (36 women and 43 men) aged 18—45 years (average age — (31 ± 1.5) years) with various inflammatory diseases of the genitourinary tract caused by mixed urogenital infections. Results and discussion. During the bacteriological study, data were obtained indicating the frequent presence of anaerobic and aerobic pathogens in associations with chlamydia, mycoplasma and trichomonade infections. Thus, in 63 (79.8 %) patients was found Staphylococcus epidermidis, in 13 (16.5 %) — S. haemolyticus, in 51 (64.6 %) — Streptococcus spp., in 34 (43.1 %) — Staphylococcus aureus, in 19 (24.1 %) — Corynebacterium spp, in 16 (20.3 %) — Proteus mirabilis. All patients showed different associations of sexually transmitted infections and/or conditionally pathogenic flora in clinically significant titers (above 104 CFU/ml).Conclusions. According to studies, the combined antibacterial drug Orcipol (ciprofloxacin + ornidazole) in complex with the probiotic Breveluck is a rational and effective method of treatment of mixed infections of the genitourinary tract. The advantages of the drug are a wide range of antimicrobial effects, the ability to affect the atypical pathogens and the simplest, as well as the presence of a post-antibiotic effect. High clinical efficiency, good tolerability and low frequency of development of side effects make it possible to use the drug in outpatient conditions in short courses. All observed patients with lesions caused by different combinations of mixed genitourinary infection achieved a clinical recovery. The high rate of pathogen elimination (93.5%) achieved by using Orcipol and significant compliance allow us to recommend this drug for the treatment of mixed urinary tract infections. It is also rational to prescribe the probiotic Breveluck, effective for the prevention and treatment of dysbiosis.
