Abstract
A compact optical signal quality monitor suitable for WDM linear repeaters which use a semiconductor arrayed waveguide grating filter (AWG) is proposed. Implemented with a semiconductor AWG module monolithically integrated with eight photodiodes, an optical signal-to-noise ratio measurement is carried out.
