Abstract

In this paper, a non-repairable parallel redundant complex system similar to a power plant has been studied. The object of the system is to supply power, from a power house having three generators connected in parallel redundancy, to a very critical destination, connected by cables and transformers. The availability and M.T.T.F. have been evaluated by using the Boolean Function (B.F.) technique. The failure times of the various components of the system follow arbitrary distributions. Numerical examples with graphs have also been given to highlight the availability and M.T.T.F. of the system at any time.
