Abstract

Strategy processes are becoming more open along two dimensions, increasing transparency and greater inclusion. These new 'Open Strategy' practices mean more strategic information is available to internal and external stakeholders, and more people are able to engage in the strategic conversation. Building on a gathering body of research on Open Strategy, this panel symposium brings together leading scholars in the field to explore in more detail the discrete dimensions of Open Strategy, and its inherent dilemmas and dynamics. The aim is to gain a more theoretically-nuanced understanding of Open Strategy, one capable of driving an ongoing research agenda.
