Abstract

Pd/C composite was successfully synthesized via a microwave-assisted ionic liquid method. The Pd 2+ was reduced to be Pd 0 and deposited on the carbonization formed from glucose at the same time. Powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) tests were used to investigate the crystalline and morphology of the Pd/C composite. Electrochemical properties of Pd/C electrode were examined by cyclic voltammetry, which showed excellent electro-catalytic activity for methanol oxidation and long-term cycle stability.
