Abstract
The very strong forward peaking recently observed in\(\bar pp \to \bar \Lambda \Lambda \) collisions at 3 GeV/c suggests that the reaction could proceed mainly through the exchange of a strangeness 1 isospin 1/2 meson. We propose to test this hypothesis by means of an angular correlation measurement between the directions of the pions emitted in the hyperon and antihyperon decays.
