Abstract
Football is one of the greatest phenomena in the world which has mass audiences and increasingly got popular during the the 20th and 21st centuries both in Turkey and World wide. Sports has become a global industry with its developing structures. Sports (soccer), media is the dominant factor reach the audiences. On the other hand Sports journalism is a field that connected to football and media, which is followed by the people who shows a great interest to this field (area). Recently sports journalist and sport reporters are increasingly gaining importance. Despite this, in our country, it is impossible to come across a sports reporter who has his unique writing skills. The sports journalism language in Turkey is rough and sports writers behave like the amigos of the team that they support, because most of the sports columnists are former referee, football player or artist etc. For this reason, the purpose of this paper is to reveal the developments and changes in sports writings in Turkey. In this context the workings of professional writer Mr. Çupi, draw attention to his literary style courtesy and grace. At the same time, the purpose of this study is to remind writings and personal style of Mr. Çupi, also present an original work in the study field of sports writing.

Summary
Türk spor basınında profesyonel spor yazarlarının ortaya çıkması 1930 yılından sonra gerçekleşmiştir. 1950’li yıllarda Türk basınında spor muhabiri ve yazarının sayısı gittikçe artmıştır (Atalay, 1998:51). Bu yüzden baskı sayısı kaygısı yaşayan medya sektörü içinde spor yazarları, büyük bir endüstri durumuna gelen futbol endüstrisinden faydalanmak ve fazla sayıda okuyucunun ilgisine mazhar olmak için, abartılı manşetlerle, magazinsel içeriklerle yazılarında çoğunlukla futbola dair haberlere yer vermektedirler. Medya Takip Merkezi’nin yaptığı araştırmalara göre gazetelerin spor sayfalarında yer alan içeriğin %69,8’lik bir kısmının futbola ayrıldığının görülmesi de aslında ülkede futbolun başlı başına ne kadar büyük bir arz-talep olgusuna sahip olduğunun kanıtıdır (Aktaş, 2012: 93). Spor yazarlarının artık neredeyse futbol yazarına dönüşmesinin bir çok sebebi sayılabilir: Diğer branşların futbol gibi ekonomik geri dönüşlerinin olmaması, futbolun reyting ve tiraj getirmesi, eski hakem, futbolcu, kaleci ya da futbol adamlarının bildikleri tek branş olan futbol üzerine odaklanmaları, sporun diğer alanlarında uzmanlaşmış gazetecilerin bulunmaması, spor kültürünün ve salon sporlarının gelişmemesi, popülere yönelme vb. Duayen spor yazarı denildiğinde ilk akla gelen isimler ise; Semşi Sılkım, Adnan Akın, Eşref Şefik, Halit Kıvanç, Halit Talayer, Tarık Bilgin, Samim Var, Tevfik Ünsi, Halit Talayer, Niyazi Sel, Namık Sevik, Doğan Koloğlu’dur(Sılkım, 2011:56,57)
