Abstract

From the basis elements of a Clifford algebra Cl n the authors generate a grading leading to a unitary Lie superalgebra when n is even. Such a construction is motivated by the understanding of the specific properties of the fermionic variables in the so-called spin-orbit coupling procedure of supersymmetrisation in N=2 supersymmetric quantum mechanics. The n-odd case is also considered and some specific examples are discussed.
