Abstract

The purpose of this work is to investigate the presence of ghosts in the Lee models. It has been pointed out that in the Lee model there are no ghosts if the correct kinematics is used. This statement seems to disagree with the LSZ theorem on the vertex function, which asserts that in a theory containing no ghosts the vertex function must vanish to infinity. As the Lee model has a constant vertex function it may contain ghosts, whatever kinematics is used.
