Abstract

This paper gives a description of the effect of a surrounding weak vertical uniform magnetic field on the motion of a conducting fluid produced by a uniform rotation of a circular disc about its axis. It is found that a transverse magnetic field, instead of destroying the motion across the lines of force acts exactly in the opposite manner.
