Abstract
An accurate estimation of electrodynamic repulsion forces is a very important concern to electrical interconnections within electrical apparatus. In this paper, we build a finite-element model of stationary contact pair involving contact bridge for electromagnetic coupled field analysis. Based on the simulation, effects of shape and size parameters of the single-contact bridge on electrodynamic force are investigated. Furthermore, numbers and distribution positions of multiple-contact bridges on electrodynamic force are also compared and analyzed. It demonstrates that the repulsion force closely depends on the perimeter of contact ${a}$ -spot in the single-bridge case; meanwhile, the total electrodynamic force correlates closely with the spots distributed in the outmost ring in terms of the multiple-bridge case.
