Abstract

The vesicular apparatus of Lipeurus lawrensis tropicalis is a complex large tubular structure consisting of two halves, separate anteriorly and jointed posteriorly. Each half has two long tubes; inner tube into which the vas deferens opens is termed as vesicular seminalis while the outer tube is termed as accessory tube. The epithelium of both the tubes is glandular in nature. The histology of vesicular apparatus suggests that it performs secretory as well as the storage function.
