Abstract

It is shown in a geophysical observatory, based on extensive experimental material obtained in the course of joint long-term high-precision gravimetric tidal observations and GPS measurements, that data of the vertical channel of GPS measurements do not currently trace the vertical movement of the Earth’s surface caused by tidal variations. The estimation is obtained for differential GPS measurements and for a separate GPS receiver operating in a dual-frequency mode.
