On the Edge of the Black Sea by Nino Biniashvili GRAPHIC FICTION 66 WLT WINTER 2021 Nino Biniashvili (b. 1980, Georgia) lives and works in Jerusalem. Her graphic novel, On the Edge of the Black Sea, won the 2018 Israel Museum’s award for best illustrated book. Her illustrations have been featured in the Swiss newspaper Das Magazin, the Heinrich-Böll-Foundation (Brandenburg, Potsdam), the Israeli newspaper Ha’aretz, and more.
