Abstract
This paper first introduces the theoretical analysis of the polarization grids. Then, according to the overall arrangement of the CATR (compact antenna test range), the design method and the detailed process of the polarization grids, which is to reduce the cross polarization of the single offset parabolic reflector CATR, are presented. The geometric optic (GO) method is used and the procedure is as follows. According to the required polarization of the CATR aperture, the polarization distribution of the reflector feed is calculated, and then the configuration and shape of the polarization is determined. The polarization grid design method is simple, and can be applied to the design of single offset parabolic reflector antennas.
