Abstract

Formulae are derived for the matrix elements of non-singular two-body interactions between single-particle wave functions of arbitrary centers and characteristic lengths. The derivation relies heavily on the use of the Fourier transform. Although it is carried out for central forces only, it can readily be extended to tensor and spin-orbit forces.
