Abstract

Abstract A method of calculating the solution of Kramers' equation for two dimensional rotational brownian movement in a plane under the influence of a periodic potential is presented. Numerical calculations of angular velocity and orientational correlation functions by this method suggest that the time behaviour of those correlation functions is greatly dependent on the energy and the initial conditions chosen.
