Abstract

Queueing network models constitute an important tool for investigating computer system performance, whether for predicting the behaviour of new designs or proposed changes to existing systems. Despite the advances made in this area, most queueing models either make gross assumptions to assure an exact numerical solution or employ an approximate method to solve a more general model.
