Abstract
AbstractElectron and ion current fluctuations caused by lower‐hybrid‐drift turbulence are estimated within nonlinear theory for the plasma of the ionospheric F‐layer, as well as for the plasma mantle and the plasma sheet boundary layer of the tail of the earth's magnetosphere. They are found to be of the order of 10−14 — 10−11 A/m2 and 10−13 — 10−9 A/m2, respectively.
