Abstract

Using a continuous time-space simulation procedure, convergence is investigated for sequences of approximating systems for the calculation of tracer distribution in spacially inhomogeneous multiphase transport (plug-flow) systems. The distribution equations are linear hyperbolic partial differential equations. Convergence is verified for distributions in the system interior as well as for distributions on the absorbing boundaries.
