Abstract

Criteria for establishing conditional belief functions are suggested, and the advantages and disadvantages of conditional belief functions that have been suggested before are discussed. We then introduce a new formula for computing conditional belief. Finally, we provide a discussion about the impossibility of finding a sensible form of conditioning of belief functions that has all the properties desired.
