Abstract

Pseudoyima prolifica is described from litter of Scirpus microcarpus Presl. The species produces dark hyphal colonies with few or no conidia, and pallid conidial colonies in which hyphae are sparse or absent. Conidial colonies, macroscopically yeast-like, consist of proliferating scolecoconidia, stauroconidia, and arthroconidia.
