Abstract

1. 1. Ocular oxygen tensions of 359± 31·9 (37) mm Hg were found in normal lake trout eyes while those eyes showing gross pathology had a significantly lower PO 2 of 219 ± 34·4 (27). 2. 2. The progression of the ocular histopathology is described in relationship to pseudobranch degeneration. 3. 3. The maintenance of elevated intraocular PO 2 even in the presence of chronic ophthalmic pathology is noted.
