Abstract

In 1996–1998 on Gladiolus plants cultivated in Poland severe symptoms were observed. The symptoms included chlorosis of the youngest leaves, yellowing and malformation of flower spices, flower discoloration and virescence. The affected corms kept in cold storage developed premature multiple sprouts weak and pale in color. Their root formation was strongly inhibited.
