Abstract

This paper examines the concept of self-esteem: its definitions and the association between low self-esteem and adolescents with behavioral disorders. It also provides goals and objectives for OT intervention based upon the taxonomy in the affective domain (Krathwohl, Bloom, & Masia, 1964) and suggests activities integrated into the Model of Human Occupation (Kielhofner, 1985). Finally, a scheme organizing the goals, objectives, and activities is offered to occupational therapists which can be used in the treatment planning process.
