Abstract
Wood is not only of great economic importance as a building and finishing material, but is also one of the cheapest and most widely used raw materials for the industrial production of pulp. At present, it is the main source of raw materials as a starting material for the extraction of cellulose. The paper analyzes the negative consequences affecting the ecological situation in the world due to the increased demand for wood. An alternative source of raw materials to replace wood is considered. The possibility of obtaining fibrous and powdered cellulose from technical hemp is shown. The conditions for obtaining it are determined.
