Abstract

A phase-conjugate sound wave of 6 MHz generated by a ferrite under parametric pumping by a magnetic field which exceeds the absolute instability threshold is studied in water. A correspondence of phase front images for incident and conjugate sound waves is obtained. An angular anisotropy of the effect is found and studied. A method for smoothing it out is proposed.
