Abstract

We report the observation of quantum oscillations in the electrical resistivity of a high-quality thin film of the itinerant ferromagnet ${\mathrm{SrRuO}}_{3}.$ Our study demonstrates the existence of long-lived fermion quasiparticles at low temperatures, and strongly suggests that the ground state of ${\mathrm{SrRuO}}_{3}$ is a Fermi liquid, even though ac and dc conductivity measurements at higher temperatures show anomalous metallic behavior. The implications of these results are discussed.
