Abstract

Artificial intelligence can change the landscape of justice in Brazil. In law, new computer systems have enabled automation in process management and are helping in the elaboration of legal documents, improving the quality of legal services. In the public sector, these new computational resources are helping magistrates and servers to speed up the litigation procedures. Like any technological revolution, the use of artificial intelligence impacts society and the labor market. This paper investigates the benefits of the AI resources to the lawyers, as well as the long-term effects of the use of these tools in the legal sector. We will also address ethical issues relevant to the use of these new technologies.
