Abstract

Vesna Kapor’s Nebo, tako duboko reactualises the concept of the lyrical novel. Epistolary form of the novel made it possible to intertwine poetic and narrative features. Emphasising the relation to death, which is closely related to the motif of time, serves as a leitmotif that contributes to connecting all segments of the novel into a unique artistic creation. Apart from both implicit and explicit connection with Crnjanski, there is a crucial intertextual link with Andrić’s concept of storytelling, as well as with the fenom- enon of the relationship between artists and their works, and the purpose of art.
