Abstract

While it is not currently possible to pinpoint exactly what constituents of foods are protective against cancer, there is a consensus that diet is an important component of cancer risk (Bingham and Riboli 2004). The evident variation in cancer incidence rates between countries has prompted research to clarify this relationship.
