Abstract

Nutritional psychiatry is an emerging field that explores the relationship between diet and mental health. Research focuses on dietary patterns, gut microbiome health, and the impact of individual nutrients on mental health. Nutritional and lifestyle interventions can complement psychopharmacology and psychotherapy in clinical practice. This clinical feature article reviews evidence supporting nutritional interventions for mental health and provides clinical guidance.
