Abstract
At the time of publication of this issue of Nursing Ethics, St John’s College of Nursing, Bangalore, and the International Care Ethics (ICE) Observatory, University of Surrey, UK, are collaborating to host the 15th International Nursing Ethics Conference in Bangalore. Bangalore is known as the Garden City of India and as the Silicon Valley of the East. It is a matter of honour for St John’s College of Nursing, in its silver jubilee year, to be the first institution in India to organize an international conference on nursing ethics. It follows in the footsteps its sister institution, the St John’s Medical College, which pioneered a course in Medical Ethics in the first years of its foundation. The theme of the conference is ‘Moral Resilience and Care practices: Cross Cultural Perspectives’. As the conference brochure notes,
