Abstract

In this paper, the Finite Volume numerical scheme has been used to solve one-dimensional unsteady state and two-dimensional steady-state heat flow problems with the initial condition and Dirichlet boundary condition. Mainly two schemes are used to compute the numerical solutions of unsteady-state flow and one scheme for steady-state flow. The applicability of these schemes is illustrated using simple test problems. The numerical solutions obtained by these schemes are compared with the analytic solutions to check the accuracy of the developed scheme.
