Abstract

Unconventional tight oil and gas reservoirs contain multiple media with different scale pores and fractures. There are huge differences in geometry, property and flow characteristics between these media. The mechanisms of multiple phase flow through these multiple media are complex and diverse. Based on simulation of conventional continuous dual-porosity media, in this study, pore media and fracture media were further subdivided into different types of multiple pore media and multiple fracture media, respectively, and, finally, the simulation of continuous multiple media based on dual-porosity models was developed.
