Abstract
In this work we analyze the influence of heat and mass transfer on two-dimensional mixed convection laminar boundary layer MHD flow over a shrinking sheet with suction. With the help of similarity transforms, the governing flow equations are transformed to coupled nonlinear ordinary differential equations, which are solved numerically by finite element B-Spline collocation technique. Numerical results for the dimensionless velocity, temperature, and concentration profiles as well as for the skin friction, heat, mass transfer, and deposition rate are obtained for various parameters and shown graphically.
