Abstract

This paper is performed to analyze the performance of a newly Longitudinal vortex Generator' heat transfer enhancement in horizontal rectangular channel. Based on the experimental results, the Longitudinal vortex Generator (LVG) performance in different structural parameter are simulated and its parametric effects are discussed. The results show that the performance of the LVG depends strongly on the outside measurement, structure and setting angle. In this case, newly LVG comes in three sizes, and the largest one which overall size is 70 mm/35 mm have super performance in heat transfer enhancement and less pressure loss than others., which heat transfer enhancement would be increased about 30%-120% with a resistance increase of 20%-100%.
