Abstract

The Ag3PO4/TiP2O7 composite was fabricated via a facile deposition-precipitation method. The as synthesized photocatalyst was characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, Brunauer-Emmett-Teller surface area, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, fluorescence spectrum and photocurrent measurement. The photocatalytic activity of Ag3PO4/TiP2O7 composite was evaluated by the degradation of RhB under simulated sunlight. The enhanced photocatalytic performance could be mainly attributed to the effective separation of the photogenerated carrier at the heterojunction.
