Abstract

Hybrid microgrid comprising of distributed generation is evolved as most proficient solution for environmental and energy crisis problem especially in remote areas. In this paper, the performance of proposed hybrid microgrid interlinked with fuzzy logic-based voltage-frequency controller is tested under islanding and grid connected mode. The novel distributed droop control scheme is implemented to sustain voltage and frequency in seamless transition among these two modes. The power management strategy with a re-synchronising circuit is also employed in this study. This control technique enhances the power quality without the need of any communication link. This leads to considerable reduction in cost and also conquers the hitch of single point breakdown. The results derived from SPS tool demonstrate the efficacy and high robustness of proposed control strategy.
