Abstract

Protection of the medical images is very much important, since some significant judgment is done on the information provided by the medical images. To achieve high confidentiality and Authentication in medical images this paper proposes two novel algorithms AHF and ACC for the production of DS (Digital Signature). An image is compressed using DWT algorithm in which the medical image content and Digital Signature is embedded in RONI (Region of Non Interest) using Lossless Watermarking Technique. Reversible watermarking facilitates to convey integrity and authenticity when medical images are shared through open networks. Lossless Watermarking is the promising technique to get original image and embedded watermark in the receiver side without any loss of Information. The PSNR (peak Signal to Noise ratio) value is up to 72dB for 512×512 medical images. Increase in Authentication can be achieved when medical expert's access secured medical images from the web servers using Kerberos technique.
