Abstract

This paper presents the optimal management and designing method for a novel renewable energy system (RES) consisting of photovoltaic (PV), wind generator (WG), battery energy storage system (BESS), fuel cell (FC), and seawater electrolysis plant, 100% renewable energy power system, in remote island in Japan. Furthermore, the real-time pricing (RTP) is applied to the power system to restrain the output variation of RESs. The proposed system also indicates the possibility of realizing the power to gas and chemicals (P2(G&C)) which means the industries to convert power generated by RESs into hydrogen and chemical products.
