Abstract

This paper presents a non-local method for measuring thermal conductivities, canceling rigorously the thermal contact resistance problem and reducing the effect of the transfer phenomena in the case of porous media. This method is not sensitive to the structure of the heating-source. This method is uniquely based on the energy conservation law and the symmetry of the studied system and does not require analytical solutions describing the temperature variations. Experimental measurements are presented to verify the method.
