Abstract
A possible source of error, never seen discussed previously in electron impact ionization cross section measurements by parallel plate condensers, is pointed out and concerns the ejection of secondary electrons from the condenser plates by the impact of positive ions. The effect of this phenomenon on the apparent positive ion current is described. 8 references. (JFP)
