Abstract

Thin films of EuBa 2 Cu 3 O 7 were obtained by DC magnetron sputtering on SrTiO 3 (100). The substrate temperature allows us to grow c -axis oriented (∼ 800°C) or a -axis oriented (∼ 680°C) films. The DC four-sweep method was used to measure the Hall angle (θ H ) of patterned films between 100 and 250 K with applied magnetic fields up to 90 kOe. Samples with c -axis texture show ctg θ H with the typical ∼ T 2 behavior. In turn, samples with a -axis orientation ( H ‖ a -axis) show a negative Hall signal and ctgθ H ( T ) does not extrapolate to zero.
