Abstract
According to Construction Rule and Regulation II-18-76, the use of plastic-frozen soils as a bed is permitted in accordance with Principle I under conditions where their temperature is lowered both prior to the start of construction, and during the raising and occupancy of structures. One of the most widespread methods used to lower the temperature of.bed soils is the installation of cold basements; it requires an extended time (several years), however, to attain the design temperatures.
