Abstract

This work proposes a fully nonlinear model for a pneumatic process control valve. Since it reproduces stiction and hysteresis, it can be used as a tool for developing accurate control schemes for the whole process and/or facilitate the tuning of control parameters in smart process control valves. The performance of the model is evaluated experimentally.
