Abstract

We investigate generating and tailoring photon states based on controllable light-matter interaction in nonlinear anisotropic dielectrics. Through structure design, the optical properties of corresponding media are effectively tunable, and nonlinear optical processes can be modulated. Such a system provides a multi-functional platform, which is available to tailor the wavelength, polarization and spatial properties of photon states. These functions could be valuable for the practical applications of quantum information processing.
