Abstract

In the real large space fire, non-uniform longitudinal and transverse temperature distributions were usually occurred by fire position. Using finite element analysis software ANSYS, maximum deflection of a fixed supported steel beam with three aspects surrounding fire was analysed in this paper, it supposed non-uniform transverse temperature distributions on the basis of non-uniform longitudinal temperature distributions which was assumed firstly, and also made comparisions with uniform longitudinal temperature distributions. © 2012 ASCE.
