Abstract

Embolization coil migration is a rare complication that may result in rebleeding or require additional interventions for retrieval (1). Endobronchial migration of stainless steel coils deployed in the pulmonary artery was described in 1990 (2). Despite advances in coil technology, migration continues to be encountered (3). This report describes a patient who developed an endobronchial migration of bare platinum packing coils 1 month after an iatrogenic pulmonary artery pseudoaneurysm embolization.
