Abstract
The article deals with topical issues of non-state pension provision, the issues of the formation of non-state pension funds, the advantages of non-state pension provision. The analysis of the activity of large non-state pension funds for 2016 on the most important indicators: profitability, the availability of own property, the size of capital and reserves, the number of insured persons, the volume of pension savings.

Негосударственное пенсионное обеспечение — система пенсионного обеспечения, предполагающая формирование дополнительной пенсии за счет добровольных взносов на пенсионные счета негосударственных пенсионных фондов (как со стороны физических, так и юридических лиц). При выходе участника на пенсию НПФ (а в ряде случаев — в соответствии с договором — вкладчик), исходя из накопленной суммы, определяет размер негосударственной пенсии и порядок ее получения.
